For more than seven decades, Iskefe’s story has evolved through craftsmanship, discipline, and an unwavering respect for material. What began as a family tradition rooted in leather trading gradually developed into a manufacturing culture defined by innovation, responsibility, and long-term thinking.
Rather than following trends, Iskefe chose to deepen its understanding of leather — its nature, potential, and value beyond conventional use. From Leather Craft to an Integrated Industrial Ecosystem
Following the establishment of its modern production facility in Tuzla in 2002, Iskefe expanded its capabilities beyond manufacturing by investing in advanced R&D and accredited testing laboratories in Kazlıçeşme. These facilities strengthened material science expertise and enabled the development of innovative processes rooted in deep technical knowledge.
Through R&D-driven innovation, Iskefe transformed bovine gelatin into a refined, commercial product, leading to the foundation of Halavet Gıda and the successful industrialization of food-grade collagen. This breakthrough marked a pivotal moment, extending the value of leather raw materials into human nutrition and wellness.
Further advancements enabled the conversion of leather by-products into amino acids, fertilizers, and keratin derived from leather waste hair — forming a fully circular, zero-waste industrial model. Under the vision of ecosystemic solutions, these initiatives were consolidated within Iskefe Holding, establishing a diversified group of companies operating across leather, food, and bio-based industries.
Today, the Iskefe Group exports to more than 80 countries, supplying leading global brands and industries.
